Flying the flag across the country
We know that it's not just women in and around the London areas that need the support of their peers, and a network like WICL, or who can offer inspiration and support to others. Women in the criminal justice system are up and down the country and, to that end, WICL have branched out! We are very lucky to have fantastic women far and wide who are keen to expand WICL in their respective regions.

WICL MANCHESTER
We have an active sub-committee in Manchester. Women in Criminal Law Manchester is a network dedicated to connecting and supporting women across all roles in the criminal justice system. Regular events are hosted in the city ranging from educational evenings, wellbeing breakfasts with a focus on women's health, social drinks and monthly fitness sessions. A black tie party is hosted annually to celebrate all those women working in the criminal justice system in Manchester.

WICL North West launched in December 2019. We were thrilled to see so many North Westerly women join us for the launch evening and look forward to getting started.

WICL MIDLANDS
Branching the WICL message out, WICL Midlands launched in Nottingham on 7th February. The Birmingham contingent expanded the launch of WICL Midlands even further on 20th March!
The events were attended by clerks, solicitors, barristers and judges and provided invaluable networking opportunities. Many commented on the informal nature of the event and enjoyed the fact clerks mingled with judges with everyone being so very positive and approachable.
